Giving Hunger the Blues and Some Music Too

Music Compound, local music education center and performance venue, is hosting the 2nd Annual Rocks Kids event to support the Mayor’s Feed the Hungry Program in partnership with Giving Hunger the Blues. JS Laveau Productions is presenting the event with Music Compound to raise awareness for Mayor’s Feed the Hungry and their mission to feed the community.

“Music Compound is excited to host this event for our community! So many families may be going to bed hungry and if we can help in any way we are glad to be doing it with such an amazing group who works so hard to put food on the table for families,” says Jenny Townsend, Founder and President of Music Compound.

The Rocks Kids event will be filled with fun for the whole family. Locally acclaimed musicians and rising stars will perform throughout the day and DJ Laveau will also lead a set. All ticket sales will benefit the Mayor’s Feed the Hungry program. There will also be a collection at the event for canned good donations, to assist in the mission of no child or adult being left hungry.

For tickets to the event, please visit General admission tickets are $10 or $5 if guests bring a canned good. Beer, wine, soda and food will also be available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will go to the Mayor’s Feed the Hungry program. The Rocks Kids event will be from 3:00pm to 10:00pm, October 14, 2017 at the Music Compound, 1751 Cattlemen Rd. Sarasota FL., 34232. Bands or individual artist that are interested in performing, please contact Jeff at JS Laveau Productions,
