The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce's International Business Council invites you to "Discover China" - the adventure of a lifetime.
The Chamber is pleased to offer our members the opportunity to combine business, networking and personal exploration interests through this exciting travel opportunity. Not only will members be able to learn about the Chinese culture and economic system, they will also form meaningful connections with fellow business people from greater Sarasota and several other major Chamber of Commerces in Florida.

Nov. 6 - JFK/Beijing
Check in at JFK Int’l. Airport for afternoon flight to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner and cross the International Dateline.
Nov. 7 - Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China, at 6 p.m. Meet your local tour guide at the airport and head to the hotel after dinner.
Nov. 8 - Beijing
Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest in the world, and the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D. where the emperors prayed to the heavens for a good harvest. Sightseeing also includes the Palace Museum (Forbidden City) and the Summer Palace.
Nov. 9 - Beijing
Take a tour bus excursion to the Great Wall. The 4,000-mile-long wall is 2,000 years old and is the only man-made structute visibile in space. Visit the Ming Tombs, one of the 12 Ming Emperors’ Tombs is fully excavated and oped for exploration. Enjoy an inticing roasted Beijing Duck dinner.
Nov. 10 - Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou
Take a morning flight to Shanghai, then take the tour bus trip to Suzhou. Afternoon sightseeing to the centuries old Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill and Hanshan Temple. Visit the National Embroidery Institute to see silk embroidery, an historical local craft. Enjoy an evening dinner show of traditional Chinese music.
Nov. 11 - Suzhou/Hangzhou
Take a marking tour bus journey to Hangzhou and visit the Economic Development Zone. Visit the centuries old Lingyin Temple with the main feature of the 64.3 ft high camphor-wood carved Buddha.
Nov. 12 - Hangzhou/Shanghai
Take a morning boat cruise on West Lake with a relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses. Afternoon tour bus trip to Shanghai.
Nov. 13 - Shanghai
Sightseeing includes the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. Visit the Bund, a famous waterfront park. Business visit to the Pudong economic development zone.
Nov. 14 - Shanghai/Beijing/JFK
Take a morning flight to Beijing. Afternoon flight CA981 to JFK.
