International Business Council

The greater Sarasota economy is becoming increasingly part of the global economy. Led by internationally renowned cultural, art and tourism opportunities, more business owners and managers are developing strategies to access international markets. In August 2006, The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce launched this council, which is designed to:

Educate & inform the business community about activities in international business
Provide opportunities for people interested in international business to connect
Expand international relationships and exchanges
Create more jobs, income, tax revenue and economic benefits for the greater Sarasota area.

Mission Statement

To develop and advance the appropriate business services, partners, resources and international relations that will enable the greater Sarasota/Southwest Florida area to become a leader in the promotion and facilitation of environmentally friendly commerce and international trade.
