Congratulations Mercury Printing

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce has presented Mercury Printing  with the Insignia Award for the month of February, 2012. This award recognizes the achievement of quality customer service and commitment to the community.

Mercury Printing has been a member of the Sarasota Chamber for over 38 years. Harry Pore established the firm as one of the first “quick printers” in the area in the early 1970s.

The early years were black ink on white paper “while you watch.” Since then, Mercury Printing has evolved with the changing technology. Late last year Mercury installed the latest and greatest imaging system producing full color, full bleed digital short-run production rivaling the best output of the big commercial guys.

In addition to the print side, Mercury Printing has also established litigation support capabilities. Its services include document copying and/or scanning, numbering, optical character recognition for easy search and retrieval. Mercury’s high-speed equipment makes short work of reproducing legal documents for its many clients, mostly attorneys. And Mercury is often recommended to out-of-town counsel for security of shared documents.

“Keeping up with technology in our field is so important,” Pore said. “But the real key for 38 years is nothing new -- customer service. We try to get it right and meet or exceed what’s expected.”

The Insignia Award is sponsored by Insignia Bank which holds the distinction of being the highest initially capitalized bank in the history of the Sarasota/Bradenton market and is a locally owned community bank.
