
The Governmental Issues Council tracks the City Commission agendas/meetings to keep pace with any ordinances and/or resolutions. Regular meetings of the Sarasota County Commission are typically scheduled and start at 9 a.m. on the second and third Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. They are held at the Sarasota County Administration Center, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota, with one meeting held at the Robert L. Anderson Administration Center, 4000 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice. The Sarasota County Commission has 104 advisory boards and councils focusing on particular issues. Advisory board members are appointed by the Sarasota County Commission.
