One of the best ways to make a new friend at The Chamber is to help someone get more from their membership. The effort has always paid me back with dividends.

I spot a gentleman, during a Trustee Reception at Wilde Jaguar on Clark Road, that was looking to find someone to connect with. I asked him if I could introduce him to anyone. I did not try to, not did I sell any of our product line to CSFI that evening. We just both agreed we had a great evening and were happy to make each others acquaintance as well as several others.

Almost six months later, I received a call from CSFI and after a thorough sales process we had the honor to work with them to launch their latest International website.

I wish I knew the secret to make this type of transaction every day, but I do not. However, I do know that through The Chamber and its many great networking events, combined with these simple steps, you have a far better chance than anywhere else.

And I can tell you this, not a week goes by that I don't have at least one job that came from a Chamber referral.
