  • InfoWhether you're a fan of the classics or not even sure what counts as 'classic,' we invite you to join us on the third Thursday of each month in our Honore Community Room to discuss a new novel. Pulling from various 'Greatest Books of All Time' lists, each month we will dive into a classic literary gem. Discussion will include our thoughts on the plot, characters, themes, and more! Please be sure to read the monthly book BEFORE the club meeting!   Our current book schedule includes: October 2017 The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde  by Robert Louis Stevenson (1886) In this harrowing tale of good and evil, the mild-mannered Dr. Jekyll develops a potion that unleashes his secret, inner persona - the loathsome, twisted Mr. Hyde.   November 2017 Nineteen Eighty-Four  by George Orwell (1949) George Orwell's chilling prophecy of the future follows the life of one seemingly insignificant man in a time when someone is always watching.   December 2017 A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (1859) Against the tumultuous backdrop of the French Revolution, Dickens' great story of unsurpassed adventure and courage unfolds.   January 2018 One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey (1962) In this classic of the 1960s, a boisterous, brawling, fun-loving rebel swaggers into the world of a mental hospital and takes over.   February 2018 Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (1847) Emily Bronte's only novel is an epic tale of love and revenge, full of passion and unforgettable characters.   March 2018 The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (1925) The story of the fabulously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan is an exquisitely crafted tale of America in the 1920s.     Be sure to reserve your seat at if you are interested in attending! We hope to see you there!
