Engage Sarasota

This program is over 20 years old and began as a way to introduce the new Sarasota City Manager and the County Administrator to the community.  Over the years, the luncheons have expanded to include leaders from the business, arts, legal, educational and social services community.

The program runs from September to May and includes seven, one and a half hour luncheons, hosted by key representatives from local institutions.  Each event provides an overview of an integral aspect of our community and offers an opportunity to learn about the various resources available.

Engage Sarasota focuses on a different topic each month including: economic development, the arts, media, government, education, law enforcement, judicial system and medical system.

“Engage Sarasota has been like a “refresher course” – an update to all I learned during Leadership Sarasota. The Engage Sarasota presenters – leaders in our community - speak about their current challenges, visions for the future and the very human side of the decisions that they have to make. I believe there’s a benefit to hearing these perspectives direct from the decision makers. It’s different than what you hear from or read in the media – no matter what media you use.
