Sara Riker, a third-grade teacher at Willis Elementary School, has lived in Sarasota for most of her life. She's found her professional passion in teaching these young students - knowing her work is enriching eager minds. A true testament to her hometown, she loves the history, culture and beaches Sarasota boasts, but she's also excited to experience more events and opportunities for young people to connect and grow professionally here. Tapping into that quest for more, she recently attended YPG events and social activities, not to mention her work with the volunteer committee. Sara feels her membership is valuable because it "opens many doors personally, professionally and philanthropically." Even though she's a native, Sara says the YPG has allowed her to continue meeting new people and learning about their exciting professions.
