I am a Sarasota native and a licensed nurse with deep roots in this community. My professional background spans healthcare, senior services, and patient advocacy, which has allowed me to understand firsthand the evolving needs of individuals and families—particularly our aging population. My mission is to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life by providing accessible, reliable, and compassionate services.
What inspired you to start your business?
I have always had a keen ability to identify gaps in services and emerging trends within the community. Through my experience in healthcare, I recognized a growing need for dependable transportation, in-home support, and staffing solutions—especially for seniors and individuals with medical needs. This insight inspired me to create SailorGirl Companies as a solution-driven organization that meets people where they are and adapts to their needs.
What problem does your business solve for customers?
SailorGirl Companies addresses the critical gap in safe, reliable, and compassionate support services for individuals who need assistance maintaining their independence.
Our services include:
- Non-emergency medical transportation (ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher)
- Private duty care through our healthcare registry
- Medical staffing solutions for facilities
- Concierge and specialty services (launching soon)
We simplify access to care and mobility, ensuring clients can attend medical appointments, remain safely in their homes, and receive high-quality support.
How does your business support or impact the local community?
As a locally owned and operated company, SailorGirl Companies is deeply committed to Sarasota and the surrounding counties. We provide essential services that allow seniors and vulnerable populations to remain active and engaged in their community.
Additionally, we create job opportunities for healthcare professionals and support staff while maintaining high standards for safety and care. Our work directly contributes to improving quality of life and reducing barriers to healthcare access in our region.

What opportunities or goals are you hoping to achieve through ThinkBIG?
Through ThinkBIG, I am seeking to scale SailorGirl Companies by expanding service lines, increasing brand visibility, and strengthening strategic partnerships within the region.
My goals include:
- Growing our transportation and concierge service offerings
- Expanding into additional counties
- Building sustainable, high-quality employment opportunities
- Enhancing operational infrastructure and marketing efforts
Ultimately, I aim to position SailorGirl Companies as a leading provider of integrated care, transportation, and support services across Southwest Florida.
