Tell us about yourself and your background.

I’ve been a personal trainer for over 15 years and have always been passionate about helping people improve their quality of life through fitness. Over the years, I noticed many people felt uncomfortable or overlooked in large commercial gyms, especially older adults and people just getting started. That led me to create The Vault Strength and Fitness — a more personal, welcoming environment focused on real results, community, and accountability.

What inspired you to start your business?

I wanted to create the type of gym I felt was disappearing — a real local gym built around relationships, consistency, and helping people become stronger both physically and mentally. I saw an opportunity to create a private training environment where people could feel comfortable, supported, and motivated without the pressure or atmosphere of a typical corporate gym.

What problem does your business solve for customers? What products or services does your business offer? How does your business support or impact the local community? Why is being part of the local business community important to you?

The Vault helps people who feel intimidated, lost, or overlooked in traditional gyms. We provide a private, 24/7 access facility with personal training, strength training, and accountability-focused coaching in a more supportive environment.

We work with a wide variety of people, including busy professionals, seniors, beginners, and individuals simply looking for a healthier lifestyle. Beyond fitness, we aim to create a strong sense of community and encouragement.

Being part of the local business community is important to me because local businesses are what give a city personality and connection. I believe supporting other local businesses and building relationships within Sarasota helps strengthen the entire community.

How has the Sarasota Chamber ThinkBIG supported your business journey?

The ThinkBIG sponsorship has already opened doors to valuable networking opportunities, resources, and connections with other local business owners. As a growing small business, having access to mentorship and a strong professional community is incredibly valuable, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be involved.

What opportunities or goals are you hoping to achieve through ThinkBIG?

Through ThinkBIG, I hope to continue building meaningful relationships within the Sarasota business community, increase awareness of The Vault Strength and Fitness, and create partnerships that positively impact both local businesses and local residents. I’m also excited to continue learning from other entrepreneurs and becoming as active as possible within the Chamber. My number one objective is to find a new more ideal location that will increase visibility for my business. I’m confident that I can better serve the city of Sarasota if I can increase awareness to my brand.
